Who Is Eligible?
ILHAF is dedicated to assisting homeowners who are at risk of default, foreclosure, or displacement due to financial hardship caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:
– Household Incomes: Your household income should be less than 150% of the Area Median Income.
– Primary Residence: You must own and occupy your property as your primary residence.

The Illinois Court-Based Rental Assistance Program (CBRAP) is a lifeline for both tenants and landlords facing housing instability in Illinois. Designed to alleviate the financial burden brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, CBRAP offers much-needed assistance to individuals involved in eviction court proceedings. Who Can Benefit from CBRAP?
CBRAP extends its support to Illinois tenants and landlords across the state (excluding Cook County residents, unless they live within the city of Chicago) who are currently navigating eviction court cases. Eligible applicants may receive up to $25,000 in emergency rental payments, covering up to 15 months of overdue rent and 3 months of future rent payments. To qualify for CBRAP, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Eviction Court Proceeding: You must be involved in an eviction court proceeding due to nonpayment.
2. Financial Hardship: You must have experienced financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
